A Practical Curriculum Designed for Life Beyond the Classroom

The Gateway School follows the DCAPS framework, offering a varied curriculum that combines core academics, life skills, and hands-on learning. Our tailored exit program and extra-curricular activities prepare learners for independence and meaningful community participation.

The school offers the Differentiated Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements, better known as DCAPS. The school endeavours to provide a varied and differentiated curriculum with the focus on the functionality and transferability of the knowledge and skills learnt. Furthermore, a strong emphasis is placed on the acquiring of activities of daily living across the teaching of all subjects.

Cultural Activities

Music, dance and drama form part of the cultural programme offered by the school. As we endeavour to expose our learners to all facets of the society, we participate in Eisteddfods and art competitions.
